Lauren N. Leffler is a trained Maryland Collaborative Attorney who assists and facilitates families reaching resolutions outside the court process.   Lauren’s goal is to facilitate families transitioning into new family dynamics while maintaining healthy co-parenting relationships.  Every parent wants what is best for their children, but unfortunately the court process cannot address the emotional and long-term needs of children.  In the collaborative divorce setting, Lauren, along with the other members of the Collaborative Team, keep the focus on the short-term and long-term needs of the children, while working with the parents to effectively transition into a family structure.

Lauren’s practice focuses on guiding individuals through challenging times in their lives, while focusing on the individual needs of each client.  Lauren assists individuals on family formation and dissolution, including divorce, adoption, child custody, and support issues.  Lauren also works with families to create comprehensive estate plans which may contemplate tax issues, and asset preservation and protection for families with special needs dependents.  Through her representation of Personal Representatives and beneficiaries, Lauren helps facilitate the estate administration and probate process.

Lauren graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law with a Juris Doctor.  She is admitted to practice law throughout the state of Maryland.  In addition to being trained as a collaborative attorney and mediator, Lauren is a trained Parent Coordinator and Child’s Counsel.  Prior to practicing law, Lauren served for several years in the U.S. Government including working at the National Security Council at the White House under Presidents Bush and Obama, and serving in the Securities and Exchange Commission, U.S. Trade Representative’s Office, and the State Department.
