An experienced family law attorney and mediator, Lindsay handles divorce cases, drafts pre and post nuptial agreements, as well as all other aspects of family law litigation and alternative dispute resolution. During the course of most family law cases, mediation and dispute resolution is required, both in terms of child custody issues as well as financial matters. Lindsay educates clients about all out of court settlement options.
After receiving a thorough education about their options, clients are empowered to learn that there is often more than one way to resolve their conflict. Lindsay’s greatest professional satisfaction comes from offering each client the knowledge that he or she needs to feel comfortable and confident as they move forward through the process and move on with their lives.
Lindsay has been appointed by the Circuit Court for Howard County, Maryland to represent children in highly contested custody matters as a Best Interest Attorney. She has also completed specialized training to mediate complex child access and custody issues as well as being collaboratively trained.
Lindsay was selected to the 2020 Super Lawers Rising Stars list – an honor bestowed on no more than 2.5% of attorney’s in Maryland. Lindsay’s lifelong commitment to the law and her legal community includes membership in the Maryland Association for Justice, the Maryland State Bar Association, the Howard County Bar Association, and the James MacGill American Inn of Court.
Prior to joining The Law Office of Shelly M. Ingram, Lindsay served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Magistrate Robert L. Bloom of the Family Division for the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. During her judicial clerkship, Lindsay worked on a wide variety of complex family law cases, which served as a perfect introduction for a career dedicated to family law. Following her clerkship, Lindsay worked as an associate for a Montgomery County family law firm, before returning to her roots in Howard County.
